George Phillips, Jr. is a native Angeleno, Certified Public Accountant and attorney who has practiced law in Downtown Los Angeles for more than 25 years. George's family firm, Phillips Law Partners LLP, specializes in Trust and Estates litigation which includes planning, business litigation, real estate and business law. He acts as outside general counsel for many closely held companies, and is involved in succession planning as well as sophisticated estate planning.
On top of his legal expertise, George is an experienced real estate broker, developer and investor as well as a gentleman farmer who owns and manages a farm operation in the Coachella Valley. He is actively involved in his church and community and has served on various boards and committees of the United Armenian Congregational Church, the Merdinian Armenian School and the Los Angeles Tennis Club. Currently, he serves on the development committee of the Armenian Missionary Association of America, and on the board of Camp Arev, a Christian camping ministry. He also founded Wilshire Softball, a league for girls ages 6-14 in mid-city Los Angeles.
In regards to his involvement with Imagine LA, George said he was particularly drawn to the impactful mentorship model and focus on families with children. After investigating private sector responses to homelessness, he learned about Imagine LA and became actively involved through the board and finance committee. George is hopeful that he can contribute to Imagine LA’s expansion within the community and positively impact many families’ lives.
