Congratulations to Heidi Sanders, December 2020 Mentor of the Month!

Heidi Sanders was nominated by her mentee Jessica for being such a caring, constant, and supportive presence in her life since they were matched in July 2020.

During this year of such uncertainty, Jessica tells us, Heidi’s regular check-ins, genuine concern for her and her family’s well-being, and help overcoming obstacles has been exactly what she has needed.

In the same month as her promotion, the COVID pandemic hit, and Claudia and her family quarantined. Now juggling two major life transitions, Claudia not only had to learn her new role, but also how to do it remotely!

For example, when the pandemic began, Jessica knew that using public transportation meant risking her family’s health. Without a car, she wasn’t sure what her options were. That’s when Heidi stepped in, lending a hand to pick up food for her at Imagine LA’s monthly Grab & Go Events and dropping it off at her doorstep.

When Jessica wasn't able to attend our Back 2 School Bash: Drive-Thru Edition, Heidi asked she could help by attending in her place. She picked up a backpack filled with supplies for Jessica’s daughter, a self-care goodie bag, hot meals, and a tote bag filled with essential items for Jessica and her family.
