Derrick Williams

Family Team Manager

Derrick joined Imagine LA as a Family Team Manager in May 2024. In this role, he manages a caseload of families living throughout the LA area who have experienced homelessness and are now housed, and their respective mentor teams. Derrick does this by providing case management to his families and partnering with them to achieve their goals through assessment, planning, communication, education, service linage, advocacy, and more. He does this by utilizing his energy, charisma, passion, and core values for helping our families.  Derrick is also a father of two and strongly believes in the importance of a strong family unit for success. Alongside his commitment to family values, Derrick has actively supported housing initiatives for individuals and families in his previous roles. Here at Imagine L.A., we strongly advocate for the success of our participants, and Derrick shares this belief wholeheartedly.

Derrick has been working in the customer service field for over 20 years in various capacities, most recently in housing navigation with Hope the Mission and Valley Restart Housing. Derick is a recovery specialist in substance abuse counseling, and an advocate for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community through Deaf Clothing, a brand focused on creating awareness and advocacy through fashion. Derick volunteers in his free time coaching basketball teams and coordinating clothing/food drives.
