Charities listed below are categorized by whether they are open to individuals, families or people in specific industries or demographics.

Workers Relief Fund Application
Application deadline is March 12, 2025 at 5pm PT
The LA Region Work Relief Fund (WRF) is a program funded by philanthropic contributions that provides immediate cash assistance of $2,000 to workers financially impacted by the January 2025 LA Wildfire and windstorm emergency.
Legal status is not required to apply for this program. If an applicant does not have an SSN or ITIN, they can visit an LA City Family & WorkSource Center, an America's Job Center of California, or a Disaster Recovery Center for in-person verification with staff.
Required Documents:
Acceptable form of government-issued (USA or Foreign) photo identification
Proof of residency in Los Angeles County (government issued photo ID with home address, utility bill, mortgage or lease documents, or other method)
Proof of income or employment at a physical address in emergency zones as of January 7th (e.g., pay stub, invoice, employer validation, other method)
Proof of permanent disruption (structural loss/damage, closure) or temporary disruption (closure) to work location or residence, as applicable, due to the windstorm and wildfires (e.g., FEMA Determination Letter, publicly available data on photos for structures in emergency zones, evacuation order mandates)
Important Notes
Public Charge / Citizenship concerns: This is considered emergency funding and not a public benefit. However, they should consult their legal counsel if they are in citizenship proceedings and/or a tax preparer as the City or County will not provide legal or tax advice.
Privacy Concerns: If applicants go through the application, they will find a disclosure for their data that indicates their data will not be provided to anyone/agency outside of LA County or City of LA and will not be used to contact them besides communication in relation to grant program and/or windstorm and fire relief resources and programs.

In response to the devastating Eaton and Palisades wildfires, the Department of Consumer and Business Affairs launching LA County Household Relief Grant offering grants to eligible households ranging from $6,000 to $18,000, based on household size and composition.
This immediate financial assistance aims to help LA County households who have been directly impacted by the 2025 Eaton and Palisades fires. The program is designed to bridge financial gaps and promote the general welfare of affected households until insurance or government recovery resources become available.
The online application will be open from February 26 - March 12, 2025.

Fund to support for foster families and TAY living in affected area (must be able to provide residency in affected area); fund will cover emergency needs including: housing support, meals, school supplies, toiletries, diapers, laptops, bedding, school uniforms, transportation, smaller furniture, and more.

Four new multi-government agency centers focused on providing resources and services to service workers/domestic workers who lost their jobs/livelihood because of the January wildfires.
Starting Thursday, February 13th, you can apply in person for Worker Relief Funds ($2,000) and Disaster CalFresh as well as get help with jobs, healthcare, unemployment assistance (even if a contractor is not an employee), rental and direct cash assistance and many additional supports.
